Scottish Jazz Awards’ Ensemble Of The Year finalists, Rose Room, have become one of Scotland’s leading ensembles, influenced by the Gypsy Jazz genre. Sharing a love of Swing music and the style of the great Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, their vigorous and vivacious performances go down a storm with any audience. Serving up 1930s’ Hot Club standards, Gypsy Jazz favourites, and self-penned originals, it’s all done with virtuosity, verve and panache. Led by award-winning violinist and vocalist, Seonaid Aitken, Rose Room are regulars on BBC Radio Scotland, Scottish Television, and at every major Scottish Jazz festival. So popular are the Glasgow-based group, they were recently invited to perform for Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall. Not to be missed.
